Naval Dismantling & Disposal Company (NDADCO) is in the business of dismantling and/or ship demolition of nuclear naval ships for either a source of parts, which can be recycled for re-use, or for the extraction of raw materials, chiefly scrap. NDADCOalso disposes of all scrap and hazardous materials, freeing up Naval Personnel for other duties. Modern ships have a lifespan of 30 to 50 years before corrosion, metal fatigue and a lack of parts render them uneconomical to run.

Ship dismantling allows the materials from the ship, especially steel, to be recycled and made into new products. This lowers the demand for rare metals, mined iron ore and reduces overall energy use in the steelmaking process. Equipment onboard the vessel can also be reused. While ship dismantling and disposal is sustainable, there has always been concerns about the industries history of not following stringent environmental and work health and safety regulations.

It is also considered one of the world's most dangerous industries and very labor-intensive. NDADCO employs automation, use of robotics and AI, in its proprietary decontamination process. We will meet and/or exceed any rules and regulations regarding the environment, safety and health of both our workforce and the surrounding community.
